Macy M. Smith (she/her) was born and raised in Saint Petersburg, FL, where she was fortunate enough to gain a strong sense of the power of clothing. She constantly had the opportunity to see how garments could tell a story and transport you to a different time and place by the variety of characters she was introduced to at the surrounding theme parks. In awe of the gowns the Disney Princesses wore to wanting to know how the petticoats moved on the main street performers, Macy’s love for costume design began to grow.

Her fascination led her to receive her Bachelor of Arts in Theatre with a concentration in Costume Design, and she is currently a Costume Designer & Wardrobe Technician based in the Saint Petersburg / Tampa Area.

Interesting fact: Macy is no stranger to other areas in the arts. Having the opportunity to start dance at the age of 2, she has gained knowledge in various forms of dance. She also grew up with a background in musical theater.
